Learn about Islam by practicing concepts about Muslim beliefs, holy places, and holidays. The game covers the Quran, mosques, Ramadan, and Islamic symbols.

Instructions for Islam

In this game, you'll explore the basics of Islam, one of the world's largest religions. You'll learn about Muslims' belief in Allah, their holy book, the Quran, and the prophet Muhammad. The game covers important concepts, such as the mosque where Muslims gather for prayer, especially on Fridays, and the holy month of fasting, called Ramadan. You'll also practice recognizing Islam's symbol – the crescent and star

The game is structured so students first encounter concepts in simpler formats and then deepen their knowledge by writing and placing words in context. Perfect as an introduction to Islam or as review of fundamental knowledge in religious studies.

1. Basic Concepts of Islam (Multiple Choice)

Multiple choiceMultiple choice - The level consists of 7 questions and all of them are practiced in every game round. For each question, the player is given three possible answers, only one of which is correct. It is up to the player to choose the correct option. The student has 3 hearts (extra lives) that keep the game round going. Questions have text-to-speech in English. Answers have text-to-speech in English. There is no time limit. When the student has selected all the correct answers, the game round is completed. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button labeled Cancel - then the correct answers will be displayed - and try to complete the level again.

2. Islamic Terms (Free Text Answer)

Questions with text answersQuestions with text answers - The level consists of 7 questions and all of them are practiced in every game round. The student must enter the correct answer without color hints and has 3 attempts to write the correct word or sentence in each question's text field that are not case-sensitive. The student does not receive any feedback when writing the answer, which makes the task a bit more difficult. Questions have text-to-speech in English. There is no time limit. When the student has written all the answers correctly, the game round is completed. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button labeled Cancel - then the correct answers will be displayed - and try to complete the level again.

3. Islam in Context (Cloze Test)

Cloze testCloze test - The level consists of 1 cloze text. In the game, the student is presented with 1 question texts where certain parts (words or numbers) are hidden. These words or numbers have been replaced by fields where the student must either fill in the correct word, or select the correct word from a list. Sometimes, there's a question mark ? after the blank - if the player clicks on it a hint will be shown. The student has 3 attempts to write the correct word in the game's blanks. A cloze text usually requires the reader to understand the context of the text in order to fill in the blank with the correct word. It may therefore be necessary to read the text several times. The colze texts have text-to-speech in English. There is no time limit. When the student has filled in all the blanks correctly, the game round is complete. If any blank is too difficult, the student can click the Cancel button - this shows all the correct answers to the gaps - and the player can try to complete the cloze text again.

4. Terms and Definitions (Link Up)

Link upLink up - The level consists of 7 questions and all of them are practiced in every game round. The player's task is to link the 7 questions in the colored boxes with the most appropriate answers in the white boxes. Each colored box can only be linked to one white box and vice versa. The student receives feedback on the links before submission and has 3 attempts to get all the links right. Questions have text-to-speech in English. Answers have text-to-speech in English. There is no time limit. When the student has linked all the boxes correctly, the game round is completed. If it is too difficult, the player can click the button labeled Cancel - then the correct links are displayed - and try to complete the level again.

Calculation of knowledge points and medals

Each completed game level in Islam gives 1 knowledge points. You can collect a maximum of 4 knowledge points by completing all 4 levels.
In the game Islam, you can earn a total of 12 medals. Medals are awarded based on how many times you have completed a level:
  • Bronze medal: after completing 2 rounds.
  • Silver medal: after completing 5 rounds.
  • Gold medal: after completing 10 rounds.
Knowledge points are only awarded for levels you have not completed before, meaning those that do not yet have checked green circles. Even after completing a level and earning both knowledge points and medals, you can continue practicing it. However, this will not grant any additional knowledge points or medals.
