Laying out the words
We’ve improved the way words are laid out on game levels that are of the letter grid type. Now the words can be laid out according to one of the following:
- 4-way straight words. The words are in a straight line and can be horizontal or vertical. I.e. up, down, left or right.
- 8-way straight words.The words are in a straight line and can be in any direction. I.e. up, down, left or right or diagonal.
- 4-way crooked words. The words are crooked, but are only curved at 90-degree angles. No curve is diagonal.
- 8-way crooked words. The words are crooked and can go any way in any direction.
Applies to the word puzzle game and user-created letter grid game levels.
Longer words
When creating letter board game levels, if you choose the more difficult crooked layouts, you can now enter words that are 12 characters long (4-way crooked words) and 14 characters long (8-way crooked words).
Applies to user-created game levels of the letter grid type.
Rotate the game board
If you find it difficult to find the words, you can now rotate the game board clockwise a quarter of a turn. There is a rotate button that rotates the board 90 degrees with each press. Four presses and the board will look like it did when you started playing.
